Nikola Tesla Company was the first
Yugoslavian company with massive production of radios.
It was founded soon after the II.WW in Belgrade. The very
first radio produced, was model named Kosmaj
and it appeared in several different design versions in the period from 1947 -
49. Significant for all the versions
is the rounded dial on the right side. Electronically it was based on
Philips technology. It is now the most popular
and collectable radio among collectors and old radio lovers in the territory of
ex Yugoslavia.
The Nikola Tesla Company should not be mixed with
the Tesla Company from Czechoslovakia.
